Fully handcrafted in Switzerland, The Pearl Diver pays tribute to the Gulf’s ancestral pearl-diving tradition and to the Seddiqi family, long-standing guardians of fine watch culture in the Middle East. It combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design to offer a new interpretation of Métiers d’Art in a three-dimensional format. This first exclusive edition is limited to five pieces, while the following creations in the Art to Watch collection can be entirely tailor-made, developed individually with each collector through a bespoke creative process.

The Sculpture
At the heart of The Pearl Diver lies a hand-engraved gold sculpture by Olivier Kuhn, patinated to evoke the aged bronze of deep-sea artifacts. Resting within the composition, a natural pearl from the Gulf, carefully selected for size and color, pays homage to the ocean’s mysteries and to human craftsmanship’s intimate bond with nature.

The Dial
The enamel dial, produced by Atelier Miniare, reveals a luminous background adorned with miniature painting, every detail rendered by hand. Around it, the steel minute ring carries Eastern Arabic numerals, a subtle cultural homage to the Middle East and a nod to the watch’s world premiere in Dubai. Deep-black inscriptions contrast with the circular-brushed metal surface, while satin-finished edges shimmer like ripples on the ocean’s surface.

Crafted by Voutilainen & Cattin, the 44 mm case reveals the movement through its double anti-reflective coating sapphire crystal with a double metallization treatment. This process conceals screws while creating a subtle text effect reminiscent of fine engraving, achieving the desired purity of design.
